I generally hate getting chain mail. But maybe I'm getting softer these days b/c I just read something from my Mom that made me smile.

Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn
wrote when asked to share her "beauty tips." It was read at her funeral years later.
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness...
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone... People,
even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed,
and redeemed; never throw out anyone.
Wow. What an incredible woman.
I really love this, thanks for sharing it. It really is about the way we choose to look at things isn't it that makes all the difference :-)

I especially like this line. Investing your time and energy in people is never a waste of time. Yet in this so-called modern world, we spend less and less time with stuff that truly matters - people :)

I read that on the back of her biography, and it made me want to buy it. It is still on my must-have list - thanks for the reminder!
