Back in February I wrote a post on Pursuit of Passion: Creating Fulfilling Careers. I wanted to tell you, my friends, that an opening and a change in my career may be coming to fruition for me very soon. Will keep you posted....
Kris wrote a bit about Laws of Attraction and thinking positive. What she's talking about really reasonates with me right now.
Oh, can't wait to hear, Becky! How exciting! BTW- I tagged you for a meme- I know, but I must have been "attracted" to you!

Wow!! Just read your Feb post that you link to and I went through the same thing with a few differences. I wanted to teach and my folks insisted on something else and "we" decided on Engineering. When I went to teaching, and stopped all engineering a couple of years ago, it was with a lot more trepidation than I sense in your voice. Congrats to you!
I LOVE what you wrote, "My choice is a responsibility. I feel like I have to do something of purpose." That's how I live every single day for the last few years. I was scared, but felt that it was time to stop whining about what wasn't working and start following my heart's desire.
Best of luck to you :-)
And thanks for the post.

hi becky, i can totally related to your previous post. over here, our parents and grandparants expect us to become lawyers, doctors and engineers. so you can imagine the pressure one faces if he or she deviates and do something other than what their college degree was meant for. like becoming a yoga teacher for instance :)

WOW, coming across your blog has been a gem find. I've been thinking a lot lately about what I want to do with my life. I have a career but it doesn't really "help" anyone. I work in media and media makes people happy on a superficial level but I am trying to think of things I can do that have more "purpose".
Thanks for being such a great inspiration. Can't wait to hear what your good news is! What you put out to the universe.... :-)
